I definitely recommend these case summaries to anyone using the Sullivan Constitutional Law book. They go along with the book well, and are helpful in analyzing the issues and determining what is relevant. I've recommended it to others in my section.

Necessary Companion

Like many law students I have explored many study aides and my search stopped at High Court Case Summaries ("HCCS"). HCCS is a true winner. HCCS helped me to better understand the judiciary's position on complicated constitutional law issues, because it includes both dissents and concurrences. The content of the material is through, concise, and sophisticated. The plain language narrative made it easy to connect the black letter law with the intent of the court. Further, the organization of the content mirrors my case book which is not keyed to this supplement. The organization of the briefs also helped me structure my personal outline. And last but not least, the vocabulary section at the end of most cases - is just the cherry on top. This is a valuable and effective study aide that I would recommend for all substantive law courses.

Case Summaries are the best!

I try to find a case summary keyed to every book I have. They make life in law school much less stressful. Sometimes you just don't understand a cryptic 1865 opinion and then there are times you're just to busy to read every case, that's where case summaries come in handy. The facts, rules of law, and analysis are laid out clearly. This shouldn't be used as a substitute for reading cases though. You'll find from time to time that a fact will be adverse to the casebook. Good luck in law school.
