Old but fantastic

because this edition includes everything newer combined algebra/trig books leave out or rush through. Buy this if you really want to learn trig. Cohen has always impressed me with his willingness to explain what others gloss over. Of course, he once in a while assumes you know something like what a line is, but if you need to go back to geometry to refresh your pre-trig basics, then look for Geometry for Dummies, or Geometry Demystified, or Discovering Geometry. Meanwhile, Cohen's Trig book is well worth the pennies spent.
